Welcome to the world of Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality Masterclass (VRMC) - Level 1 is a collaborative two day workshop jointly conducted by IDC, School of Design, IIT Bombay and Digital Art Vre - a technology-based startup that specialises in the craft of creating reality.

About the workshop

The idea for the workshop was the result of numerous brainstorming sessions with academia and industry experts. The program is designed with an objective to give participants, an opportunity to contextualise and exploit their ideas with the use of Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and Mixed Reality (MR) understanding the different possibilities and also the current limitations in usage of this medium. 

The workshop is an initiative to introduce VR hardware, software and content that will bring more people into VR and expand the ways we experience, learn, and—of course—connect. The workshop will be a great mix of on job knowledge, learnings, insights and challenging experiences. 

We have planned the workshop with the intent of providing you a gateway to the world of VR. Watch this space for more details on the registration process and other formalities.

Matterport at the workshop
By definition Virtual reality (VR) is a computer-generated world that simulates experience through senses and perception. If this is true then the best way to experience VR is by using these devices and not watching videos on the internet. As a part of this workshop, we have planned for a hands-on special zone which allows each one of you to be a part of this experience. We have all the leading VR devices/ cameras used in the industry from first model Oculus Rift, Development Kits (DK 2) launched in 2013 to the latest Oculus Go that was launched in recent the developers conference.
